Second camping attempt

I love it! I love it! That's all I can say. Though it was a bit bright outside from the city light, it didn't bother me. Around 1 am the moon was shining down on us. We slept until past 6 am when the first plane flew past our house to land at the nearby airport. The tent was covered in dew. We continued our sleep indoor. That was last week.

Today, it rained on and off. Sometimes it was light, other times it was heavy. I managed to mow the back yard before the weekend starts ... yay!!! I weeded my garden too. I'm so excited. Tomatoes are getting big. I see baby melons here and there. Hot peppers are growing too. I found out too that bunnies like to rest on those patches without grass in my yard.

Right now the clouds are clearing fast. I saw a star when I came out. Now I see many stars. It's the waning crescent phase. Time to clean out some garbages ...

Good night World. Thank you for watering my plants today.

I am home

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home
Well I'm going home.

The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love remains true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.

So I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,

Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.

Oh, well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.
I said these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
I'm going home.

First camping attempt:Fail

Friday evening: got home earlier than usual. However, the temperature was not favorable for mowing. So I waited until 7.30pm to mow the lawn. I almost finish the back yard when I saw a baby bunny hiding in a corner of the yard. So I shut down the lawn mower. It turned out that one of the neighbors was holding another baby bunny, an injured one. They called SPCA but it was already closed. When he found out that there was another one, he put the injured one together with the one in the corner, in my yard. And they all went back into their houses ... yes, leaving the injured one in my hand. I didn't want to frighten them any more, so I mowed the front yard instead. Half way into the yard, I found another one. So there were three babies. And I found the burrow too. Alright, mowing is done for the day. Continue another day.
Friday evening, 10pm: Tent was up in the back yard. I was all excited. Temperature in the comfortable zone. A little nice breeze every so often. Getting near to 11pm, I decided to check the weather forecast. Not good! Thunderstorm?! Ok, first thing came in my mind ... the injured bunny. I went to check on her and found the healthy one already gone, leaving the injured one upside down. Since it was already touched by human, I decided to pick it up and take it to the burrow. Poor bunny lost its front legs function and can only move using its hind legs. Once I lay it down in front of the burrow, it started pushing itself into it. At least I know it was going to stay dry. By the time tent was taken down, I was really sleepy.
Saturday morning: Woke up by the thunder. It was probably ~3am. Was I glad I packed up and came inside. By 9am, we were already up and about getting ready for a hair cut. I went out to check on bunny, did not see any sign of it. So we left for the city.
Saturday, 4pm: Bunny was out, part of its body was wet. I decided to take it into the house to keep it warm. We called SPCA. A good lady gave me the number to the wildlife sanctuary. I placed a call and waited for someone to call back. 15, 20 minutes went by, finally the phone rang. Another good lady said she can come by to pick bunny up. We were very grateful. I don't know how or what to feed bunny. It probably still depend on the mum and mum probably abandoned her already. The lady took one look at it and told us it didn't have much chance. We kinda knew that too. That was why I took it inside and try to make it comfortable. She left us a brochure and her number. She is a volunteer. Thank goodness for the kind people of United States. You make this country so much better and wonderful. May the World bless you and protect you in your pursuit of kindness.

The mocking bird came ...

and boy, did it stay long. It woke me up around 7, kept going on and off for 9 hours. Something was attracting it to our area (I hope it was the magic garden). Even when it was at some neighbors' sites, we can still hear its loud and amazing sound. The funniest sound it made was the car alarm. That made me laugh so hard. At one point it mimicked the seagull. What a marvelous day!

The weather was beautiful, not too hot nor too chilly. It was cloudy most of the time too but didn't bother me at all. I weeded my garden, 'fluffed' the soil and water my beautiful vegetables. They are growing bigger everyday. Unfortunately, some creatures of the earth came and ate the strawberries. The least you can do is save some for us. We feed you most of the time, don't we? Somebody gave us some hyacinth and tulip bulbs. We planted all of them, ~50 bulbs, in the front yard. Next year we are going to have beautiful yard, I hope : ) Half the hedge was trimmed, it's funny- hedge now until we trim the rest.

We had the fire going most weekend nights too. Chilly but still beautiful with the Big Dipper looking down at us. We had dinner outside on Sunday. Fried noodles with mashed fish. Long story about the fish. I didn't fry it long enough, so the inside was still raw. Left it simmering in the brown sauce too long ... it was still good despite the pathetic appearance. Yay, I'm happy.

Thank you World for such beautiful life.

It's Friday again. Yay!!!

I know. I can't wait to get home too. Last Sunday someone gave me a little fire pit. I had the fire going for 2 nights and I just love it, love it, love it!! I love to see the flames dancing while my other half loves to roast marshmallow. It is just perfect! However, I don't like to mow the lawn ... hmm ...

New wish sent out recently. I hope someone near will get it and grant it. It would mean a lot to have it came true ... Thank you!
